Tavern pipe remnants are a rare but exciting find. Dating back as far as the 17th century, the tips of tavern pipes were broken off and discarded for sanitary purposes. |
According to documents in the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA a German ship carrying porcelain dolls wrecked off shore in 1870. In very rare instances, remnants of these never-played-with dolls can be found. |
